The circuit energy limiting associated equipment that limits the electrical energy of the isolated safety barrier to achieve intrinsic safety explosion-proof function is usually referred to as a safety barrier. A safety barrier with current isolation function is called an isolated safety barrier, abbreviated as an isolation barrier. Isolation barriers are usually composed of three parts: loop energy limiting units, current isolation units, and signal processing units.
The most essential circuit in the circuit energy limiting unit is the basic energy limiting circuit of the safety barrier. In addition, there are auxiliary power supply circuits for driving field instruments and detection circuits for instrument signal acquisition. The current isolation unit includes transformer isolation components, mode frequency conversion, and frequency mode conversion circuits. The signal processing unit implements signal processing according to the functional requirements of each variety of isolation barriers.
